About

Capital Region Crime Stoppers serves 8 Parishes; East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Ascension, Livingston, East and West Feliciana, Iberville and Point Coupee Parishes

We are one of a kind, non-profit organization for CONCERNED CITIZENS TO REPORT CRIME INFORMATION ANONYMOUSLY. There are three ways in which to report information all completely anonymously; call the Hot Line , access the Submit A Tip button on our website or download our P3 app. As an extra incentive, cash rewards are paid up to $5,000 for information which leads to the arrest and indictment of a person (s) that committed a felony crime. There are No Names, No ID, and No Court when you contact Crime Stoppers. But you must contact Crime Stoppers to become eligible for the cash reward and to remain anonymous.

MISSION STATEMENT:

PREVENT AND SOLVE CRIME.

For over 40 years, Crime Stoppers has served the people of the Capital Region by creating a dynamic partnership between the public, law enforcement, and the media.

In over 40 years of serving the Greater Baton Rouge Area, Crime Stoppers has assisted law enforcement agencies in solving 14,008 felony crimes and has paid $2,326,225.00 to date in cash rewards all anonymously. In our years of operation No ones identity has ever been revealed, No one has ever had to testify in court, that’s because it is never known to Crime Stoppers.

In our efforts to reduce the crime problem in the Greater Baton Rouge Area we have implemented several successful initiatives; Violent Crime Unit, which consist of multiple law enforcement agencies and Crime Stoppers who’s common goals are to protect life, ensure safety, and quickly bring to justice offenders who inflict violence in our community. Campus Crime Stoppers that addresses “violence on school campuses”. Presentations are made to the student body which resulted in receiving tips that leads to arrest of students in possession of illegal narcotic, illegal weapons, stolen property, and bullying. Crime Stoppers Wanted Fugitive Segment that feature known wanted subjects, asking the community help in locating fugitives.

The Crime Stoppers program is based on the simple principle that for every crime committed someone other than the perpetrator has information that will solve it. There are two main problems which deter many citizens from calling the police; fear of retaliation and apathy. Crime Stoppers solves both of these in that the program offers two important ingredients; anonymity and cash rewards.

Our success can be attributed to the support and help from the Federal, State, and Local Law Enforcement Officials from the surrounding parishes: Ascension, East & West Baton Rouge, East & West Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, and Pointe Coupee.

Crime is an issue that concerns all of us, and fighting it involves all of us. Crime isn’t just a law enforcement problem anymore; it’s a social and community problem that affects all of us, our families, and our businesses. We are committed in making the Greater Baton Rouge Area a safer place for everyone, but we can not do this alone.
